Algarve Active Ageing 2022 Best Practice Award – A3

The Program for a Longevity Society – PSL launches the first edition of the 2022 Algarve Active Ageing – A3 Best Practices Award for the Algarve region, in partnership with the Algarve Active Ageing Reference Site, the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission and with the Academic Center Algarve Biomedical Center.

The mission of the PSL Project (0551_PSL_6_E) cooperation program INTERREG VA, Spain-Portugal (POCTEP), 2014-2020, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), is based on the need to promote, accelerate and implement research and scientific discovery , technological advances, behavioral practices and the renewal of social norms, in a committed and constructive decision to face the longevity of life as one of the strengths of the society of the future.

Applications for the Algarve Active Ageing – A3 Best Practices Award 2022 take place between the 22nd of December 2021 and the 31st of January 2022 and is addressed to any public, private or social sector entity that has ongoing initiatives that aim to enhance healthy lifestyles among the older population in the Algarve region.

Following this competition for good practices, on February 18th, 2022, at the Grand Auditorium of the University of Algarve – Campus de Gambelas, the Algarve Regional Meeting on Innovation and Good Practices in Active and Healthy Aging will take place, where the best applications will be presented and the winners voted and announced. This regional meeting aims to promote and disseminate the best practices of the Algarve region in the context of active and healthy aging and encourage dialogue and debate in the search for better solutions and approaches to improve the quality of life of the senior population.
