The Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC) and the Cultural and Social Support Association of Olhão (ACASO) have officialized a partnership that aims to "defend, identify and implement healthy and active aging measures for a more vulnerable population". The agreement was signed on February 1, 2022, in Olhão, and will last for five years.
The agreement establishes that the ABC will provide its academic know-how to the activities that ACASO develops with vulnerable people. The creation of differentiated multidisciplinary health teams and support for quality certification are some examples of responses to be adopted, with a view to promoting active and healthy aging.
With this partnership, the intention is to gather material and human resources, in order to implement innovative projects and solutions that allow continuous improvement in providing care to the population, added the ABC.
