Approval of the requalification of CS Loulé, which will house an innovative project.

The Ministry of Health has validated, sending for publication in the Diário da República, the necessary authorization for the execution of the contract with the Municipality of Loulé, with the view of expanding and improving the Health Center (CS) of Loulé, in order to proceed with the installation of the headquarters of the Group of Health Centers of Algarve I – Central, of the Lauroé Family Health Unit and of the Gentes de Loulé Community Care Unit, in the Parish of S. Clemente of the Municipality of Loulé.

The Deputy Secretary of State and Health, Jamila Madeira, responsible for this decision, highlights the importance of this project not only to improve access and provision of healthcare for the population of Loulé, but also for the establishment of clinicians in the Algarve : «This is, in fact, an innovative project, which will take the form of a University Health Center, with a strong teaching and research component. It will add quality to the health services provided to the population, also contributing to the enhancement of the University of the Algarve itself», explains Jamila Madeira.
